Namaste and a warm welcome to the Ghorepani-Ghandruk Short Trek! When you arrive at the airport, our Elevate Trek representative will be there to greet you. Then, you’ll be transferred to your hotel in Kathmandu. After getting refreshed, you can explore the vibrant streets of Thamel and soak in the local atmosphere. Overnight stay at a hotel in Kathmandu.
Having early morning breakfast, we’ll drive towards Pokhara. Along the way, you'll have the pleasure of riding in hilly and winding terrain. You'll also experience the rural charm of Nepal with scenic villages, hills, and mountains. This scenic drive will take approximately 6 to 7 hours and we’ll reach Pokhara. Your night's lodging has been arranged at a local hotel in Pokhara, ensuring a comfortable stay.
After breakfast, we'll take a 2-hour bus ride from Pokhara to Nayapul,which is the beginning of our trek. On the way we’ll be crossing a suspension bridge and then head towards Birethanti. After about 3 hours of gentle walking, we'll arrive at Tikhedhunga village. Along the way, you'll also come across the beautiful Modi Khola river. Today's walkin covers approx 6 to 7 hours of hiking. Overnight stay at Tikhedhunga.
Starting the day with breakfast, we’ll head to our first destination which is the charming Magar village of Ulleri. You can enjoy breathtaking panoramic views of theÂ
peaks of Annapurna South, Hiunchuli, and Machhapuchhare. After nearly 6 hours of trekking, we'll arrive at Ghorepani, where you can relish the warm hospitality of the Magar community. Overnight stay at a local lodge
Today, we will walk up to a stunning morning view at Ghorepani Poon Hill which is an incredible part of our trek. After this delightful start to the day, we'll head back to Ghorepani and enjoy a filling breakfast. Then, we'll start our trek to Tadapani, which will take about 6 hours. We’ll then take short breaks for lunch. As we trek, the landscape will offer a variety of breathtaking sights. And in the evening, you can witness a magical sunset and the majestic mountain views from Tadapani. Overnight at Tadapani.Â
After our early breakfast, we’ll walk for 3- 4 hours to reach Ghandruk, which is a significant Gurung village situated on terraced slopes. Today is all about exploring Ghandruk village's unique charm and experiencing the warm hospitality of the locals. It's a bustling village, where you can see various shops, teahouses, and lodges. Apart from this, you'll also get to see major peaks like Himchuli (6441m), Annapurna South (7219m), and the famous Fishtail Mountain (6993m).This will probably be the most exciting and enriching part of our trek. Overnight stay in Ghandruk Gurung cottage.
Today is the last morning on our trekking trail. Departing from Ghandruk, we’ll head towards Birethanti and take a short break there. Then, walking downhill, we’ll pass through a few villages and riverside. On the way, we can meet many trekkers embarking on adventures like the Annapurna Base Camp trek, the Ghorepani Poon Hill trek in the Annapurna region. After a 30 mins walk, we’ll return back to Nayapul and have lunch. Then, from there we’ll catch our bus to Pokhara.
After your trekking adventure, today is all about embracing the wonders of Pokhara and enjoying them to the fullest. You can explore various iconic sites in Pokhara such as World Peace Pagoda, Mahendra Cave, the International Mountain Museum, Davis Falls, Phewa Lake, Begnas Lake, Sarangkot viewpoint, Tal Barahi Temple and many more. If you're a thrill-seeker, you can experience a range of adventure sports such as bungee jumping, paragliding, and zip-lining.
As our journey wraps up, we'll return to Kathmandu and drop you off at your hotel. You can also extend your visit to explore famous attractions in Kathmandu valley such as Patan Durbar Square, Bhaktapur Durbar square,and Basantapur Durbar Square.Â
